The Heshtone Parabolic guitar is an OM sized guitar that is braced with parabolic shaped braces to provide it with a unique and strong voice. Parabolic bracing is not new and some of the most prized vintage, pre-war guitars were parabolically braced. In addition, the Heshtone Parabolic guitar features Heshtone's unique "Stealth" bridge which is engineered to provide the unimpeded transfer of sound to the guitar top.
This particular OM has AAAAA highly flamed Koa sides and back, a Master grade Adirondak spruce top, custom Snake wood bindings, and a matching Koa rosette. The top has a vintage sunburst finish and the headstock is hand inlaid with our parabolic Dove design indicating that this is a parabolically braced guitar. Click here for a full sized image.

Parabolic bracing is stronger than scalloped bracing because of the profile of the parabolic shape. This additional stiffness provides parabolically braced guitars with very strong mids and notes that are played up the neck are every bit as loud as notes played on the first three frets.

Heshtone Guitars is very proud to have our own inlay artist available for custom work. This OM features Heshtone's Parabolic Dove inlay on the headstock. The individual pieces of this inlay are parabolic shapes arranged to form the image of a dove. In addition this guitar has Waverly tuners with genuine Snake wood buttons to match the Snakewood bindings on the guitar.

Koa is native to Hawaii and not only is it a beautiful wood it is also a superb tone wood. This particular set was a very rare find and was rated at AAAAA quality, the finest available. All Heshtone guitars feature bound fret boards even if the binding is just ebony. It is an extra step, a detail, and representative of the pain staking attention to detail that goes into every Heshtone guitar.
