The Peace Guitar is a SJ (small jumbo) sized custom guitar that was created to turn heads as well as to sound fantastic.  WIth a top of 3,000 to 5,000 year old highly flamed California Coastal Redwood and very dark East Indian Rosewood back and sides the Peace Guitar has a very unique look.  Bound in Brazilian Rosewood and sporting a unique custom inlay on the Ebony peg head the Peace Guitar's appearance is just the beginning.  Click here for a full sized image.

   

The small jumbo body style affords the Peace Guitar with rich, full bass, clear mids, and sparkling highs. Uniquely braced to take full advantage of a top that comes from the tallest and oldest trees on the planet the Peace Guitar is very responsive to any style of play.

   

Our inlay artist created a unique inlay for the Peace Guitar featuring a 60's peace sign and orchids.  The Peace Guitar features modern 21:1 tuning machines with black buttons.

     

This guitar also features sides and back of master grade East Indian Rosewood and is bound in Brazilian Rosewood for a unique "dipped in chocolate" look.  Clearly the most striking feature of the Peace Guitar is the flamed Redwood top.  Redwood guitar tops produce excellent overtones not unlike Western Red Cedar but also have the volume and punch of fine spruce.

   

All Heshtone guitars are bound in real wood, no plastics here, and the fret boards are always bound as well.  In this case we decided to bind the Peace Guitar with bindings that matched instead of using contrasting bindings.  We call this "stealth bindings."
