The SJ or Small Jumbo Model features a smaller body then a dreadnought but with the depth of body to produce loud and rich sound.  This model has been increasing in popularity among high-end guitar buyers and finger stylists.  With a 25.4" scale, smaller overall dimensions, and a very pleasing to the eye shape the SJ makes a perfect guitar for many folks.  Heshtone SJs are built to be very responsive, sweet sounding, and particularly well suited and voiced for finger stylists.

This SJ features Honduran Rosewood with sapwood sides and back, AAA Western Red Cedar top, Macassar Ebony fretboard, and highly figured Koa bindings.  Honduran Rosewood is best known as the wood that Marimba bars are made from.  WIth a very strong, glassy and crisp tone it is considered by some to be a alternative for endangered Brazilian Rosewood.  In this case the sap wood was retained to add character and color to this SJ.
